L&B Services brings 14 years of experience in providing boring and other earthwork in the four state areas of Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.  L&B received this certification at the federal level on April 17, 2014 (Enclosure 5 of Chart 1).  L&B has also received state certification as Service Disabled Veteran Enterprise on January 24, 2014.

L&B Services has started a new division for Commercial Electric Vehicle Charging stations (levels 2 and 3). We have already installed two (2) level 3 Tesla super chargers in Joplin, MO. L&B Services performs electric underground commercial outside plant construction and upgrades, Excavating, Directional Boring and various Site preparation services. The entire company is Natural Gas pipeline occupational certified and regularly performs work for various cities and natural gas companies on a long term basis.  L&B also provides water and gas directional boring for City Utilities of Springfield MO. The firm was awarded the City Utilities Boring and Drilling $1.2 million blanket contract in April 2014. L&B is qualified and has been awarded a long term contract for outside construction for AT&T. All employees are on a DOT/Natural Gas Pipeline drug curriculum testing program. John Lorenz Owner L&B Services is a retired Senior Enlisted from the US Navy and both Service Disabled.  John Retired in 2001, his last position was Leading Maintenance Control Chief HSL-43 helicopter squadron, San Diego CA. John started John Lorenz Contracting in 2003 and in 2007 incorporated to form L&B Services. John has completed 30 hour OSHA supervisor training and all employees are OSHA 10 hour trained/certified (See Chart 2 – Employee Certifications). L&B has a written and active safety program and Quality Assurance programs, plus a written and proactive environmental erosion prevention pollution plan. John Lorenz has the 40 hour OSHA Hazwopper training. L&B has vast knowledge and considerable experience in Construction Management/ Organizational Management. John has completed formal training in Quality Assurance and was the quality assurance supervisor for Helicopter Combat Support Squadron HC-11 from 1987-1992. John also completed Maintenance Material Control and administration school. In the last 11 years John has managed several large fiber optics projects and outside plant new construction projects.
